OK, continuing #1: grabbing.
If A grabs B (you) around the arm or wrist, you twist your wrist, grab A's, then pull A into your knee or a headbutt. Then, pull A's arm around behind their back "chicken-arming" them. don't pull too high unless you want to break their arm. To finish, place your knee or foot on their back, then give a hard shove. This should send them sprawling especially if you hold their arm until they are about to hit the ground.

OK, the first subject is the old fashioned way: the good old fists. This subject will have quite a few posts, comprising everything from boxing and street-fighting to martial arts and self defense. This lesson is basically on what you are going to do if someone just attacks you, tackling you or throwing punches.
Remember, the most important thing is to stop the fight. That said, who doesn't enjoy a good fight? There's just something about a fight that gets our blood pumping and gets adrenaline flowing. OK, back on task: when the person comes up to you and you know that a fight is unavoidable, just relax, but stay alert. If you freak out, then you just rush into the fight forgetting everything that will help you win the fight. Kay, there are two main approaches that the attacker will probably use. #1 grabbing you, probably around the head or on a limb. #2 throwing a punch. We will cover #1 on this post, and #2 next time.
#1: grabbing.
If the attacker (A) grabs the victim (B) around the head in headlock fashion, A usually pulls B around to face the same way as A. To get out of this, the best way is to throw an uppercut punch with your outside arm to the gut, usually stunning or knocking the breath out of A, then follow with another uppercut to the face, which should loosen A's hold. Then, use A's shoulder or the back of their shirt collar to pull yourself up to their position. Hold them up facing you, then finish with a jab punch to the face. This should end the fight, as they will be to stunned to get up or attack again.
If A holds you on your weak side, use your strong arm to send an elbow to the gut, then bring up your fist to backhand them in the face. Finish the same way as before.
That's all for now,
See ya next time!

This blog will be comprised of subjects, that are broken down into periodical lessons. There is no time frame for these lessons or subjects, they will just go until we run out of material. I will be collaborating with outside sources on the material we will be posting. All lessons will be accompanied by photos and illustrations. Hope you enjoy!
Hey y'all! This is the Hand to Hand for Rookies blog page. On this blog I will be posting articles about hand to hand fighting, as well as fighting with weapons, such as flashlights, knives, maybe even guns. This knowledge may be very important in the event of a zombie apocalypse or similar catastrophe. Hope you all enjoy it!
